The building of Split Rock Light Station, Minnesota, [1959].

A typed brief report on the construction of the lighthouse at Split Rock, on the north shore of Lake Superior. Tinkham was the designing engineer and supervised the construction of the lighthouse. The building was started in 1908 and completed in 1910. Information is given on the importance of the lighthouse, and the problems involved in its construction. Because there were no roads into the area, all equipment, materials, and laborers had to be brought to the area by water.
